Counsellor, Supervisor, Manager and Trainer

Working therapeutically for over 20 years. I enjoy supporting counsellors to offer the best service for their clients. Offering supervision to counsellors, counselling supervisors and professionals with comparable work.

I offer Time to Talk sessions for qualified counsellors and counselling supervisors. This space is available when something has come into your life which might be interrupting your focus from your client work, or is distressing in your life.

As part of my work I develop and facilitate personal development CPD workshops for counsellors, counselling supervisors and other related professionals. Inviting participants to work deeply with their own response to the topic that we are focusing on. I believe that this is the route to congruence which for me is the most elusive of the core conditions.

I am excited to be managing Affordable Counselling which is an innovative project aimed at supporting counsellors in training and qualified counsellors offering affordable counselling to as wide variety of clients.

I held the Mobile Therapy Unit; this work won the Community Care Awards in the category of Careers.  This led to radio and television interviews and the opportunity to publish articles in The Journal of Dementia Care, and Community Care.  The summary of the evaluation that I facilitated has been requested by people and projects all over Britain and from Australia, Canada, Tasmania, New Zealand and America.

I spent 5 years working creatively and had jewellery on sale at Tate Britain and Tate Modern, The Royal Academy and The National Gallery. I made jewellery for the Alice in Wonderland exhibition for Liverpool when Liverpool was the city of culture, and enjoyed working on many other projects around Britain.

I have Dyslexia.  This condition inhibited me accessing education until the emergence of computers. Dyslexia has advantages – I am a divergent, creative and perceptive thinker.

I have a large family and many good friends; I spend much of my time involved in activities with them. I love hot beach holidays and enjoy reading fictional novels. I take great pleasure in swimming in warm sea, snorkelling and scuba diving. I have an optimistic nature.
